Experienced Immigration Attorney – Business Immigration

You feel confident jumping into a position with minimal supervision and are comfortable managing a high volume of work with consistently excellent work product, working alongside and managing paralegals, drafting, reviewing/revising petitions/applications and audit/RFE responses, conducting consultations, and learning new technology, systems and processes. About the Job: Primary responsibilities will include frequent interaction with our founding/managing attorney, other team members, and clients; advising clients and developing strategic case plans; overseeing preparation of immigration petitions and applications; maintaining digital case files; proactive consideration of all stages of the case; and working with team members to complete projects and achieve goals as a group.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain ownership of and manage a high-volume caseload of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa cases including but not limited to PERM’s, I-140s, H-1Bs, TNs, I-485s as well as some family-based immigration cases including but not limited to N-400s, K-1s, I-130s, I-751s, etc.
- Effectively manage client relationships including participating in client meetings and calls
- Manage paralegal and legal assistants so that immigration documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner
- Possess a precise attention to detail to ensure excellent work product and error free filings
- Understanding of complex immigration law concepts and ability to research and analyze the law on intricate and complicated immigration issues
- Ability to provide accurate counsel to clients
- Conduct client consultations
Requirements:
- U.S. Juris Doctor degree
- Member in good standing with a state bar
- At least 5 years employment immigration attorney work experience
- Experience with PERM’s, I-140s, H-1Bs, TNs, I-485s as well as some family-based immigration cases including but not limited to N-400s, K-1s, I-130s, I-751s
- Proficiency with case management systems (experience with INSZoom preferred)
- Meticulous proof-reading and organizational skills
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Excellent research, analytical, written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with a wide variety of individuals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Work Location:
- Candidate must be able to work remotely from a home office preferably in the Richmond, VA area, but can be remote anywhere in the US
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000-$120,000, negotiable
