The summer travel season is upon us. If you are a foreign national planning to obtain a temporary visa to the U.S., keep in mind that the U.S. Department of State visa application fees are increasing as of June 17th, 2023!
The application fee for the visitor's visa for business or pleasure (B-1/B-2) and other non-petition based nonimmigrant visas, such as student visas (F, M, and J visas) will increase from $160 to $185. The fee for other petition-based visa classifications including the H, L, O, P, and R visas will increase from $190 to $205. The E visa application fee will increase from $205 to $315. If you have paid the nonimmigrant visa fee before June 17th, 2023, that fee will remain valid through the expiration date of the fee receipt.
Keep in mind that there may be additional nonimmigrant visa reciprocity fees required, depending on the country from which you're applying, the visa classification sought, and the corresponding reciprocity agreements in place.
